how to give

It was in 2019 that Matt and Sarah Marvane felt a strong conviction to open their own congregation, thereby establishing a presence in Lyon. Before long, a group of around 20 people had gathered; however, as their meeting space quickly became too small, they were granted the use of a larger venue in Old Lyon. Today, an average of 350 people gather every Sunday at the Saint-Joseph Church in Tassin-La-Demi-Lune.

OUR STORY

We are a church for those who do not yet attend church. We are committed to remaining faithful in welcoming—with care and compassion—every soul that God has entrusted to us and will entrust to us in the future. The time has come for our community to acquire its own premises and to operate in facilities that are truly suited to our calling. Following two previous acquisition projects—which helped prepare us and stretch our faith—we believe that today, a brand-new chapter is beginning.

Thanks to the generosity of 513 donors, over €870,000 was raised in just six months (between January and June 2024). We are determined to keep moving forward in this same spirit of faith and generosity.

We envision establishing a presence at the very heart of the Lyon metropolitan area’s expansion zone, specifically in Meyzieu. This town—home to only one other church—is easily accessible by all modes of transport and represents a key area for our future growth and expansion.
